obeliscPRO, which can be used for implant heights starting as low as 17 mm, re-interprets the key concepts behind its successful predecessor and once again sets the standard for distraction procedures. It combines a first-class distraction range of 115 mm with a continuously adjustable expansion mechanism. The implant height can therefore be adjusted exactly as needed, and its ingenious technology even allows adjustment in situ using a minimally invasive approach. This impressive range of core elements is complemented by a further expanded selection of end pieces. Two new sizes – 29 mm and 32 mm diameter - have been added to the selection of end piece elements. All six different diameters have been color coded accordingly. All models feature an angle of up to 15 degrees, except for the oval end piece, which even goes up to 20 degrees and is especially suitable for bridging (L5-S1) in the lower lumbar spine. As a result, obeliscPRO provides surgeons with an even greater number of options.

The system is also very flexible in terms of approaches — it can be used universally, so physicians are not restricted in the selection of the approach. Both thoracic and lumbar substance defects can be bridged easily and quickly thanks to the small number of necessary instruments. The proven 3-in-1 instrument is especially user-friendly: It can be used to insert, expand and fix the vertebral body replacement in place. In endoscopic approaches, the new measuring instruments also permit users to precisely determine the required implant height.
